World and Community Outreach Mission Team

Team Leader:  Annie Davis, Kim Renzenbrink

Purpose of Mission Team: To reach out and support needy people in our community and throughout the world. 

Special Projects/Events throughout the Year:

  • FAITH Ministries Food Pantry.  Provides food and clothing for needy residents of Warren County.
  • Washington United Church of Christ. TRCC is an active participant in the on-going mission and ministry of a partner congregation, Washington UCC. At this church in Camp Washington they do a tremendous amount of outreach to local area children by providing solid meals, a safe place to learn, play, be mentored, and grow. We support their efforts by working at Kids' Cafe one weeknight per month and by working in the soup kitchen on the 4th Saturday of every month.
  • Reach Out Lakota. TRCC provides financial assistance to Reach Out Lakota and needy residents within Butler County.
  • Blanket Day. Involvement in the Disciples of Christ worldwide Blanket Day effort to supply blankets to the needy in other countries.
  • Habitat for Humanity. TRCC supports local Habitat building projects both within and outside of Warren/Butler county.
  • Special Offerings. Throughout the year, TRCC members provide financial contributions to many different special offerings for the Disciples of Christ church. These special offerings include Week of Compassion, Easter, Pentecost, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Reconciliation.
