Dear members and friends of Tylersville Road Christian Church, Recently I've had the pleasure of meeting elders, board members, and the larger congregation. We have begun the process of building a relationship together. Some of you--the search committee, for instance--I know better than others. With others of you, however, I've had a warm handshake and introduction. With still others, however, I've not yet had the opportunity to make your acquaintance and start building connections with you as your incoming senior pastor. I hope to take that opportunity after I begin on September 8th. In the meantime, however, I ask your prayers as my wife Amy and daughter Abbey and I pull up stakes and head east. We ask prayers for the congregation that now begins a search process of its own. We ask prayers for our home and school search. Know that you are in our prayers, too. I thank each of you for the oppotunity that beckons for all of us. We can't wait to see you all! Blessings, Troy, Amy, and Abbey |

So what will you find on Sunday morning?
Well, when you walk in the door you will be greeted warmly and see a lot of people hugging and laughing as what seems to be an amazing number of children play hide and seek behind the adults.
When the music starts we slowly find a place to sit (no, not always the same place) and join in song, prayer, and inspiration. Look around you and see people in jeans and shorts while others are in dresses and suits. There is a casualness that comes from trust and love.
Listen closely and you’ll notice that some of the songs projected on the screens are well known favorites while others we struggle with as they are brand new. Note that there are people of all ages and both genders involved in the worship service.
Finally and central to our denomination is the sharing of the bread and wine at the Lord’s Table. We believe that Christ is the host and that all who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are welcome regardless of church affiliation. We commune with God and with each other as we ask for forgiveness and strength before adjourning to a world that seems less intimidating and more caring that it did a short time before.
Come join us this Sunday and let us welcome you to what we hope will become your new church family!

Welcome to the Tylersville Road Christian Church (TRCC) web site |
|
Our hope is that you will find what you need to consider visiting our church family and develop a closer relationship to God and to your new friends. Come join us and share the joy, fun, excitement and energy that is TRCC!
Many of our members are new to the community and find that they miss the support of friends and family. Others are long-term residents that have simply never found the right church home. TRCC strives to create a welcoming, open and inviting place to create truly meaningful relationships.
Our worship services are a blend of old and new, traditional and contemporary, comfortable and sometimes challenging moments. As a community we share in the joys of life and comfort one another in times of sorrow. We stress individualism and a respect and tolerance for those differing in race, religion, age and the other things that cause us to be isolated and saddened.
We challenge each other to share our talents. We believe each person has a responsibility to create their own relationship with God through our Savior Jesus Christ and rely upon His words to guide our daily lives.
Indeed it is a stressful world full of confusion, stress, anger and isolation. We hope sincerely that you will take a few moments to review this web site and get a feel for the commitment, diversity, acceptance and love that God has bestowed upon Tylersville Road Christian Church. Come as you are and leave feeling loved and accepted.
